almost every video recently have been watched by 150,000~200,000 folks.

but you may have been influenced by it by not even noticing.

Oh? What on earth is a Music Chartster?”
Music Chartster is a really new term.
Around 2011 January,
this word first appeared in Facebook page held by The LIamaNetwork and PenaltyKillah.
The meaning of the word means “Chart Video Producers”,
which means the author of making a music chart video.
A brief definition would be:
Making Music Video charts continuously and constantly for a matter of time,
and uploading them to the net to let people share and exchange opinions.

This identity has three kinds up to date: Official National Chart, Survey Chart,
and Personal Chart.
The Official National Chart accords to the data from the countries own music charts.
Ex: Billboard / The Official UK Singles Chart
The Survey Chart accords to the results of a vote from people who participate on net.
The Personal Chart is a bit special, accords to that persons own taste to decide the results.
The time is usually a week as an unit, some a month.
Internet platforms gather on Youtube.
Music Chartsters are from places around the world,
but most in the states, second in Europe.
Audiences are from all over the world, but most subscribers are from the states.
In fact, sharing music infos on Youtube is not a new thing.
Lots of ppl make “My Top 10 Songs” videos and share them online.
In Europe, due to the Eurovision Song Contest,
Lots of people share their favorite singer and song in it.
There are numerous of ways to obtain new music infos.
The most traditional way is to acquire from music magazines, radio programs,
TV shows, or Chart companies, but a large amount of ratio contains commercials.
But the appearance of a new state such as Music Chartster,
made the situation start to change a bit.
The Official National Charts, speed up the passing of the infos from place to place,
For instance: ppl from Canada can get the latest news from Russia instantly.
The Survey Chart does not contain any commerce benefits,
which can show how ppl feel about music.
The Personal Chart,
lets ppl search for ppl who share the same taste for music, and interact with each other.
Forms into something like a “reputation” kind of spread.
On 2008/12/20
BillboardGoddess started to share a series of “Billboard Hot 100 – Top 50 Singles” videos. We can view this as the start of the Music Chartster Era.
(Could be earlier, but this is the earliest start that could be traced back to now)
After a year, 2009/11/20
Charta09 started to share Germany’s Chart video, Europe entered a new era.
Another year later, 2010/03/12,
Canada, England, Sweden, Russia, Poland, Brazil, Japan, and Finland ‘s Music Chartster Channel constantly popped out.
And on the 7th week of 2011, the new status came into Oceania.
2010/01/24 TheTopMusicVideos Channel started a Survey Music Chart,
which is the most well known kind of Survey Music Chart from Music Chartster.
To 2010/January, Charta09 Channel started a monthly one.
At the same time, TheLiamaNetwork and PenaltyKillah pioneered Vibaboard!
They achieved a milestone.

The beginning of the Personal Chart is not quite clear,
but TheGeoKing Channel started to upload videos from 2010/04/24 and hugely influenced and turned into the most largest Personal Chart channel.
After 2010/November,
The Personal Chart of Music Chartsters popped out from all over the place.
In the same year, this flow also came to Hungary.
Well you may wonder why all the activities centralized in Europe and America.
What about Asia?
Pop music is also lively in those places.
In fact, Japan and South Korea has lots of Music Chartster activities.
The beginning of that didn’t start too late,
probably the same time in Europe and America.
But due to the type of the market and copyright,
lots of early Music Charts were demolished,
which made lots of information disappear.
Such as OriconGoddess, RascTop10 Channels.
But after 2010/October, Official Charts started to have some improvements.
In January, 2011, Personal Chart activities began to come out a lot more and stable,
but the special thing about it is the area of the music charts sets in America most.
(Making a places music chart doesn’t mean that you’re from that place)
And also the charts combine Japanese and South Korean music.
In the Asian market, getting music news is not that easy as it is in other places.
Artists don’t have their own Youtube channel and also the music video uploads are not in good quality.
(most places) So that’s the biggest reason why “Asian music” Music Chartster hasn’t really pop out.
Up to date, North America, Europe(including Turkey) have the most prosperous activities going on. South America(Brazil), Eastern Asia (Japan, Korea) , East-Southern Asia(Indonesia) areas have a bit activities going on, but do not go on constantly.

Started 2008/December, 2010/March start to grow in a range.
The same year in November, grew in a blast!
BillboardGoddess Channel had around 150,000~200,000 ppl watching each video recently.
But the trial starts here. A small channel operated for a long time,
probably only has a few followers.
Are there that much people out there to handle such humongous suppliers of Music Charts?
This is an issue for us to focus on and observe.
Actually the author of this article is also a Music Charster,
also the only represent in Taiwan.

On 2010/07/16,
I started to run my own Personal Music Chart, making “Paddy’s Top 25 Singles” series of videos.
Have been making this for 38 weeks and successfully spreading out my favorite songs out. The best example was spreading Uhm Jung-hwa(嚴正化) single D.I.S.C.O. to a foreign net pal fpfbm54.
My English skills are not that keen, thanks to my friend,
